For Hooker Header applications not found of the site please call to order. Hooker Emission Compatible Headers are designed to be a high performance alternative to the stock manifolds. These headers are built for late model cars and trucks and will accommodate all emissions control devices.
With Hooker Full Length Super Competition the objective has always been to make the maximum horsepower and to put it a the optimum point in the power curve. It takes a lot of time and money to do the job right. Hooker will sometimes spend up to 2 to 3 times more just to make the Super Competition header work only 5 to 10% better. Block Hugger Super Competition headers are great for custom car, truck or street rods where specific fit tuned Super Competition headers are not available. They work great for those tight-fit installations where frame rails are close to the engine block. Stock motor mounts can be used. Because the collector exits parallel with the oil pan rail, maximum ground clearance is allowed. These headers come complete with gaskets, header bolts and collector reducers. These headers come available in chrome, high heat resistant black paint or hookers Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating.
Super Competition Sidemount headers deliver the most aggressive style and performance for your early Corvette, Camaro, Nova or Firebird. Sidemount headers are built from lightweight 18-gauge tubing. Sidetubes slip directly to the collector for a leak free seal. Hooker sidemount headers and sidetubes come with three choices of coating; show quality chrome, high heat resistant black paint and Hooker's Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating.
Replaceable Hooker mufflers are available separately in two different styles; glasspack and reverse flow. The glass pack style provides the highest performance with minimal backpressure and sound control. The reverse flow is designed for maximum sound control.
All Hooker Roadster headers are polished before and after assembly to assure maximum chrome quality for full 360° around all pipes. Hooker's design gives special consideration to the electroplating process to reduce low current density areas which tend to result in poor chrome quality. Show quality chrome appearance is achieved with a full 45 minutes in the nickel tank.

Made of durable 16 gauge mild steel tubing, the Hooker Competition header design utilizes a long transition collector design to reduce back pressure and increase exhaust flow. A perfect sealing surface is assured with the 5/16" machined flanges, with welded O-ring seals. Experience has proven that this flange size is ideal to maintain header integrity and be pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Tubing is mandrel-bent to maintain metal strength and provide consistent tube diameter at radii to maximize performance.
Hooker Competition headers have a standard finish that features a heat-cured, high-heat-resistant paint. Optionally, the famous Hooker Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating is available.
